Recently, last night, I found myself waiting nearly 12 hours in the waiting room for my friend after a bike injury she suffered from a car collision. My friend was admitted to the emergency cesspool around 5:30 pm on a Thursday evening, she waited 7 hours in a crowded and noise polluted room with others suffering similar emergency room needs.
I will start first with the environment. Besides lacking a front desk attendant to mediate and address the issues brought in, the security guard at the door was so wrapped up in his sports discussion with a small group of police men, the sound decibel was beyond comforting for the patients waiting. i felt as though i was waiting in a sports bar during the super bowl, it was intensely distracting and mightily upsetting to the ailing.
After making our way through the sports fans we managed a place to sit on the hard steel waiting room chairs, again lacking in any comfort one would hope for when suffering an emergency trauma. But this is just where it starts, the journey to nowhere begins and practically ends in the waiting room. while sitting in the decompression chamber, known to all as the waiting in pain room, I saw people self medicating their pains with handfuls of Motrin purchased from the drug store across the street, and even taking deep swigs of what looked and smelled like cheap beer out of a brown paper bag. this is the state of our health care system. these tactics are what one has come to expect from the services we the uninsured are practically denied.
Seven hours go by and finally an almost inaudible voice comes over the p.a. for my friend. after all the waiting we are brought into another room to inspect, while standing, the injuries. I must mention also that the doctor was less than sensitive after almost re injuring my friends wound while checking her jaw, and disregarding the emotional state she was in. already wet with spilled blood and a resurgence of tears my friend was told to wait for an attendant to bring a bed in for her to rest while she waits for stitches. 30 minutes go by till that bed comes.
long story short the night progressed and the emergency room hardly moved. after leaving my friend in the CAT scan room at three am i am left with only the most bitter and unhappy feelings of disgust and worry for the state of America. I can only surmise that the American health structure is meant to control the growing population by letting the accidents die. as bleak as it sounds the things I witnessed are as true and harsh as the day is long in that dark hole. i feel sorry for anyone brought in by ambulance that actually needs help. I am thankful that my friend was only cut on her chin and in need of stitches rather than a broken bone or worse. Shame on that hospital and shame on those responsible for helping the sick.

The F word, it's a party
So if lots of fun gays and silly gals are your definition of FUN then santos party house is where it's at on Saturday nights. I happen to be One of the skinny half naked bartenders that are sure to get u potioned up for the festivities. Last night She-dick performed and Peaches made her ever so desired appearance. It's the scene for most types and preferences. This type of party play is essential if we are to reclaim our filthy city. Mickey mouse is not invited so the suit stays home, if u catch my meaning. Rock out with your cock out is the perfect cliché for the wild time, thanks to santos NYC can relive some of the freedom it once had, Barack said it best when he stated that we needed to stop annylizing our differences and start caelebrqting our similarities. Though he was speaking of the abortion taboo I think it's a lesson we all could stand to get behind.

Painful neighbors
It starts with a dj and ends in frustration. Recently our neighbors moved out and handed down their apt, like an old pair of abused stelletoes, to his younger sister! Already this sounds like a disaster! Turns out sis is a dj just like her big bro, unfortunatly she has a youthful desire for mind numbing house music with extreme bass. This has become the source of my living hell. Not only can we not sleep but her ef-ing smile of egniwlrgment everytime I confront her on the matter still doesn't change her patterns. I think apt rentals should have some kind of protection for these types of terrors. Can ibget a witness?

The united states of tara
If there is one remedy to my sadly aching heart after the cancelation of "my so called life" then yes I have been reborn. Toney collette has a true heart beat in her character that star strikes me beyond my dreams. I'm not too often struck by actors in the public but when I spotted her at freemans ally months ago it took everything in me not to march up to her and give her a hug, or my number. I'm afraid niether were possible, and I'm thankful for that. But I am super glad to know she has work and this is what it is. I look forward with an unblinking stare for next season. I would be glad to be even a town in that country of tara.

lucinda williams
there are few people in the world that make it onto my top ten list, which is not quite full as of yet but i must make my first few entries in writting to log its and my progress
1. Barack Obama:
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek."
2. Lucinda Williams:
Words
"I would rather suffer sweet silent solitude
Deathly defiant from drowning out
Filthy sounds stumbling, ugly and cruel
Between the lips of your beautiful mouth"
3...... not sure yet. crazy right.

total wine bar is the place to be
if anyone is nervous and wondering where to go on valentines day then look no more. total wine bar, brooklyn, ny, park slope can be the answer to all your dreams. it is quaint, beautiful, and romantic. not to mention that the bartenders there have the ability to set your mood right. if you are looking to sober you personal feelings or even inebriate them they can quench that thirst. my favorite is....me. i am a bar tender there and i have to say, yesssss.
net neutrality needed
so i am thinking today is the day to start a blog. i do not usually find this a venue for me to practice my intellectual waivorings. but now i find it is time to just use my voice and if it makes a difference then great, if not then so it goes.
my interest recently has been peaked by a suggestion of web or service provider censorship and or blockage. the idea is that internet providers will take liberty to suggest a fee to web creators and make what they create accessible only to those that pay enough to be viewed. it is a crime and a disgrace to our freedom. we must use our voices in this manner or any other to promote our last venue for free speech. please get informed and support your love before it is taken away.
really though, if you are a iphone or any other type of lover of these technologies you should be in the front of the line.
thanks for now
